The collision of Aw!Jeez Comix and Brown Word and the Big Whine. Let me tell you about Songfight. Held on songfight.org, the premise is simple - a title is offered and an optional challenge. To enter, your song must have the title, you email it old school and a few days later the songs post for any rando to peruse and vote on, You don't win any prizes, you get out there and give it your best shot and sometimes people like it, sometimes people maybe don't get into what I'm trying to do, there's a little something for everyone in a fight, though rock dominates.
There were 4 fights in a row that had the optional challenge for the four to form a story arc. "Abuse Of Power", "We Did Everything We Could", "To Die On This Hill", "I'm On My Way Home". Of course they were issued through the fullness of time, so we couldn't foresee where the next title was going to take matters!
The songs together set the story of Frida's stay in Friendlytown, and 24 Hour Comics Day rolled up and I set that story to the page. See it here:
